I’ve always been known to be quite the bookworm. Ever since I’ve learned how to read, I’ve had a book by my side. I recently talked about my favorite books of 2016, and when I mentioned that I had read 75 books during the year, people seemed to be surprised. Someone on Twitter asked me how I managed to read so many books, since I also happen to be a college student, have a part-time job, and blog. I know it’s also a lot of people’s goal to read more books during the year.

Before we dive into it, there’s something I have to admit: I am a fast reader. I always have been. I can read a book in one sitting, and that usually only takes me a few hours (depending on the book). I read mostly in English, even if it’s not my mother tongue. And yes, I still read just as fast in English as I do in French, my native language. So needless to say that being a fast reader plays a big part when it comes to fitting books into my schedule. But I still have few tips that might be able to help you reaching your reading goals!  View Post

I can’t believe another year has gone by! Do you know what that means? That means it’s time for another edition of my favorite books of the year! (Read last year’s edition here) I read quite a few books this year, and my favorite books of 2016 are quite diversified.

Somehow, I found it hard to find my favorite books this year. It’s all been a blur, and I can’t really remember what I read when. I thought this year had been a poor one book-wise, but after going through my Goodreads‘s reading challenge, I realized that I had indeed read some fantastic books this year! I read a grand total of 75 books (I’m reading book 75 right now!), and 12 made the list (that includes a few series and short stories as well).  View Post

Normally, summer is the time of the year when I get the most reading done. But with having a summer semester and working part-time over the summer, that didn’t leave much time for reading. However, I was still able to read quite a few books, and added some new favorites to my shelf. Without further adieu, here are my favorite books of summer 2016!

After a poll I recently did on my Twitter account, I realized that you wanted me to write more book-related posts, and I’m really happy about that since I love books! As you know, I’m a huge bookworm and am always on the hunt for my next favorite read.

But I know not everyone loves reading as much as I do. It can be hard for people to find a book that’s not too heavy, with a limpid style and an addicting story. And you know what genre reminded me of that? Young Adult. This genre also happens to be one of my favorites, exactly for the reasons stated above! I love dystopian stories and fantasy, and this is what YA normally offers.

Favorite Young Adult Series

In that state of mind, I have decided to list ten of my favorite YA series, in the hope that I might be able to recommend you something new that you might like!

I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I like better than getting lost in a good book. But during the semester, I don’t have much time to do so. Between classes, studying and work, that doesn’t leave much time for reading.

5 Books to Read This Summer

But with summer right at our doors, we finally have more time to read! That’s why I decided to team up with a bunch of bloggers to share what our favorite summer reads are! I personally prefer reading contemporaries and NA during the summer as they are usually lighter reads, so this is what you’ll mostly find in this list. I made a list of my favorite books of the summer last year, if you’re looking for other recommendations! I tried to choose books that were different from the ones I shared last year.  View Post
