I love everything beauty-related and I love skincare just as much. My love for beauty things started with skincare products. As a young girl, I was suffering with acne, but I found a way to treat it.
Now that my skin has finally gotten rid of that disorder, I have taken great care to insure that my skin stays as healthy as possible. I have a combination skin, which means that it’s pretty normal, save for areas that tend to get a little oily. My skin is also quite sensitive. I have used the same products for years, but recently, I grew tired of them and decided to switch things up. I’ve had the same routine for weeks now, and today I am sharing with you my current skincare routine and the products that I use.
I use the same products day and night, always in the same order. I have 5 main products that I swear by and that I would buy again without any hesitation. All of them are French skincare lines, which I personally find in any drugstore, and are pretty affordable, especially for higher brands like these.
Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1, One Step Cleanser Sensitive Skin
I’ve used that make-up remover ever since I’ve started using make-up. My mom introduced me to that amazing product, and this is the only one I ever used since. I’ve tried other brands, but I always end up coming back to this one.
It works as a cleansing milk, a toner and an eye make-up remover. In just one step, it perfectly cleanses the skin, removes make-up from the face and eyes and leaves the skin feeling toned. And it leaves no greasy finish! You can remove it either with a cotton pad, as it doesn’t require any rinsing, but I personally use it in the shower with a washing cloth. This is the first thing I do at night.
It’s perfect for people who don’t like to use a ton of products or are in a hurry, as it also works as a cleanser and a toner!
Uriage Cleansing Make-Up Remover Foam
After I’ve removed most of my make-up with the Vichy cleanser, I wash my face thoroughly with this foam. Now, this is totally unnecessary at night, but my beautician told me that if it made my face feel cleaner, there was no reason why I shouldn’t do it. However, this is the first thing I do every morning.
I put about one pump in my hand and, on a slightly wet face, I massage it into my skin. I then rinse if off with water and, sometimes, with a washing cloth.
Uriage is a brand that my beautician recommended to me according to my normal skin, and I rapidly fell in love with it. The brand is hypoallergenic and uses thermal water in all of their products.
Vichy Pureté Thermale Perfecting Toner
After I have washed my face, I make sure my skin is toned and that all my make-up and impurities have been removed with this toner. This is a step that I have recently added because I didn’t feel the need to use one since I was already using the 3 in 1 cleanser. But my beautician told me that it helps the skin come back to a regular pH and that it keeps the skin clear and fresh.
I love the feeling it leaves on my skin after I’ve used it. What is great about Vichy products is that they contain no parabens, which is a chemical product that is bad for your skin. They also recently changed their packaging look and I love it! It feels more professional and high brand.
Uriage AquaPRECIS Moisturizing Refreshing Cream Gel
This is the last step of my skincare routine. After my skin has been washed and toned, I apply a tiny bit of this onto my face, morning and night. You don’t need a lot of it to hydrate your skin.
The cream gel texture is heavenly and it smells sooooo good!
(I think one of the reasons why I like it so much is because of the amazing smell) I can’t really describe it, but it smells fresh and clean.
I also love the packaging! The blue color is vibrant and it makes me want to use it more than I should. This moisturizer leaves my skin luminous and fresh and it detoxifies it on a daily basis.
Uriage AquaPRECIS Moisturizing Express Mask
Once a week
(or at least I try to make it once a week), I apply this mask onto my skin. It keeps my skin even more hydrated and is perfect for those of you who have dry skin! It’s a savior during cold winter days. I It also works miracles on a sunburned skin.
I apply a generous layer onto my skin and then leave it there for about 5 minutes. That’s what so amazing about this mask! It’s a quick fix and it’s amazing! I then rinse it off (usually in the shower). The texture is really smooth and light. It’s light blue straight out of the tube, but once applied on your face, it’s translucent
(which doesn’t make you look too funny while wearing it).
I have been entirely satisfied with the products I’ve been using lately. I’m still looking for a good scrub though, so if you have any recommendation, please leave them in the comments!
