You might not know it, but my birthday is coming up very soon! My 20th is in a month and as I’m very excited, I thought I would share with you the few items that found their way onto my birthday wishlist!
As the years go by, I always have less and less stuff going onto my wishlist. I feel like I have everything I need. Since I got my job at the library, I have been able to buy the things I want whenever I want, so I never know what to put on my wishlist. But I still make one every year, just for the fun that comes with it!
Here’s what my heart desires this year:
A Netflix subscription. I have been thinking of getting a subscription to Netflix. If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I’m a TV addict and that I watch an incredible amount of movies and TV shows, and that there are still many on my list! I think subscribing to Netflix would be a great investment, since I can watch many things for a very reasonable cost! I’m actually thinking of getting it as a gift from myself to myself. 🙂
The Harry Potter books. Let me get something straight: I’m a huge Potterhead. I’ve read all the books at least once and have watched the movies multiple times. But the thing is, I don’t own any of the books. The only one I have is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and it’s in French. I know there are multiple beautiful editions and I would love to own them, because Harry Potter is my all-time favorite series. And can we talk about that beautiful new illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone? Like, can I get my hands on that?
Here are some of my favorite pictures of that edition by my favorite bookstagrammers!
// all these magical illustrations are my making my heart soaaar 😍 A FEW THINGS TO NOTE: 1/ my patronus is a swan because i'm the swan queen, duh 👑 2/ the 'h' on my sweater OBVIOUSLY stands for hogwarts. 3/ my sad wand is actually a long chopstick 😂 4/ i was going to wear my house colors but i took 5+ quizzes and got both slytherin and ravenclaw multiple times? i'm having an identity crisis. 🙈 what house do you belong in? ⚡HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE: THE ILLUSTRATED EDITION is in stores now!! be sure to pick up your copy because it's beautiful, has over 100 color illustrations, AND a ribbon!! *screams* ⚡ #harrypotterillustrated #ad
If you can’t feel the magic of the new Harry Potter Illustrated edition, you might as well be a Muggle. Because I can’t EVEN! I was so excited when mine finally arrived yesterday. There are 100 stunning illustrations in this baby that are both brand new and feel familiar at the same time. . . I read that the illustrator, Jim Kay was worried he would ruin “the most popular children’s book in history,” when in fact his talent and depictions made this story feel brand new in the most magical way. . . Do I even need to tell you that the new illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone is in stores now? This is definitely the crown of the collection. #harrypotterillustrated #ad #ravenclaw #thesorcerersstone
A Archambault gift card. Archambault is a bookstore from Quebec not only selling books, but DVDs, CDs, instruments and that sort of things. They also have a large variety of books in English, which usually lacks in other french canadian bookstores. It’s needless to say that it’s my favorite. I’d love to get a gift card and be able to purchase a few books to refurnish my bookshelves!
Funko Pops. There has a been an obsession all over bookstagram and in the fandom universe about these little figurines. They’re not useful in any way, but damn are they cute! I don’t have much space in my room to collect those, but they would be a nice addition to my bookshelves. The ones I want the most are Steve Rogers, Regina Mills and Emma Swan, aka my all-time favorite fictional characters!
A Facial. I haven’t done one of those in years, and God knows my skin needs it! I used to have very bad acne problems, and facial were something I was getting yearly. But ever since I’ve fixed my problem, I haven’t gotten around to getting one. Facial are something we should get at least once a year, during the transition from one season to another. It helps purify the skin and get rid of imperfections, and it’s also very relaxing. Though, it’s a bit more on the pricey side, so I’m a bit more hesitant to pay for one myself. It’s the perfect idea for a gift! 😉
These are the main items on my birthday wishlist! I’m actually very curious what my family and loved ones will get me, if they do get me anything! I’d be happy not receiving anything, but I know my parents love to purchase gifts. 😉
