Fall 2015 TV Guide

Since I am such a TV junkie and I sort of miss doing TV recommandations, I decided to do a master post and combine all of the TV shows I watched this season into a fall TV guide! If you’re looking for any new TV recommendation to binge watch during the holidays, you might find what you’re looking for here. 🙂

Fall 2015 TV Guide

So here’s what a week looked like for me, TV-wise.

The-Flash-key-art-16x9-1[1]

The Flash, season 2

The Flash is the story of Barry Allen, who gets struck by lightning and wakes up nine months later with superspeed. The TV show is simply amazing. Not only is the story entertaining and unexpected, but the characters are amazing and played by a great cast. I was really excited for The Flash to come back, especially after that spectacular ending at the end at the first season! This new season definitely lives up to my expectactions – I cannot wait to the second half!

Under the Dome, season 2

I have started watching Under The Dome last fall, with my parents. There had a been a lot of hype surrounding it, so we thought we would give it a try. Well let me tell you this is probably the most f*cked-up show I’ve ever watched. I end up more confused by each episode, and to the point that it’s becoming ridiculous. I’m not particularly enjoying it, but I’m a bit curious, I will have to admit it. Besides, I only have one more season left to watch, and it’s the only time I ever watch TV with my parents, so I’m going to stick to it.

Agents-of-Shield-Marvel-ABC[1]

Agents of SHIELD, season 3

You might not know this, but I’m a HUGE Marvel fan. I’ve watched The Avengers movie too many times, to the point that I almost know it by heart. It is well known within my family that I am crazy obsessed with everything Marvel-related. So when I found out that Marvel had came up with a spin-off TV show with Phil Coulson as one of the main characters, I jumped on board. The first season was A-MA-ZING. I fell in love with the characters. HARD. Then the second season happened. I lost a bit of my initial excitement, but I still loved it. The third season is not nearly as good as the first one was, but I still like to watch it. I don’t know if I’m going to like the second half of the third season (because I’m not sure I like where it’s going), but I’m still willing to give it a try.

Scream-Queens[1]

Scream Queens, season 1

I’m sure by now you’ve all heard of this TV show, which was probably the most anticipated show of the season. I had a love/hate relationship with it. While I really like the characters (Chanel Oberlin is my new favorite) and the parody was just hilarious, it kinda got on my nerves. I can’t exactly pinpoint what was wrong, but I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would… This is the perfect watch for Pretty Little Liars fan!

Arrow, season 4

I only discovered Arrow last year, and I have become obsessed ever since. Not only is the main character swoon-worthy in every way (Stephen Amell *drools*), but the story is thrilling and entertaining. After being stranded on an island for five years, Oliver Queen returns to his hometown with only one thing on his mind: revenge. He wants to making Starling City a better city, something his father lacked to do and asked him to take on as his dying wish. So Oliver becomes the Arrow, a masked vigilante. This TV show has it all: an entertaining story, action, a great cast, amazing characters… you name it, it has it!

How To Get Away With Murder

How To Get Away With Murder, season 2

If you’ve read my TV recommendation, you know just how amazing How To Get Away With Murder is. But I’ll be honest with you: I was afraid the second season would end up being disappointing. The first season was so great, I thought it was unbeatable. Well, let me tell you something: I was absolutely wrong! Not only does it live up to the previous season, but I think they might even have outdone themselves! I’ve been sitting on the edge of my seat all the time, trying to figure out who was the guilty and why. I cannot wait for Feb. 11th, when we’ll finally get to see the second half of the season! I can feel there’s going to be a lot more of OMG moments.

once upon a time

Once Upon A Time, season 5

Once Upon A Time and I share a big love story. When I started watching it last year, I quickly became obsessed. I watched the entire three seasons in three weeks! And it was during midterms. Now, for those of you who read my previous post, you know just how much I love this show and why I would recommend it to anyone. It’s needless to say I was super excited for the fifth season, only to be left disappointed. While the TV show is still entertaining, I felt it to be a bit… boring. I never had this feeling while watching it before, and I don’t like it. It feels like they don’t have any new content to display, and that we’re just running around in circles. Sadly, I think the show is near its end, or at least that I’ll soon stop watching it. I’m still going to watch the second half of the season, but I’m not as excited as I used to be.

BrooklynNineNine-161[1]

Brooklyn Nine Nine, season 3

Brooklyn Nine Nine is a jewel of today’s television. Not only is there a great diversity of characters, it’s also hilarious. Andy Samberg is a genuis when it comes to creating comedy and that show deserves every single award it has received. I have to admit that I have no been as thorough with this TV show (I still have two episodes to catch up on), but it’s only because of a lack of time, not of interest. I am looking forward to following the gang of the 99 precinct!

quantico_-_new_keyart

Quantico, season 1

That might be my favorite TV show of the fall. At first, I only watched the first episode because the show was filmed on my campus, but I quickly became obsessed. After a bombing at Grand Central, Alex Parrish, FBI agent, is the primary suspect. Every clue points in her direction. But Alex isn’t the one who implanted the bomb. She soon finds out that someone is framing her, someone that she met while she was in Quantico, the FBI training center. Alex has to find out who the real terrorist is if she wants to prove her innocence. The show is great: unpredictable story, amazing cast playing even better characters, steamy romance, action… This show has it all. If you haven’t watched it, you should definitely check it out! I promise you won’t be disappointed. I also wrote a whole post about the show, if you’re not too convinced.

Other TV shows that I’ve watched

Since I got a Netflix subscription for my birthday, I decided to binge watch a few TV shows:

  • Gilmore Girls
  • Sherlock
  • Friends (currently rewatching on Netflix)

What about you? What have you been watching this fall?
