If there’s one thing that I hoped for this year is that I would finally bring my blog to the next level, and that starts with reaching my goals for 2017. I’ve never been really good at keeping up with goals, mostly because I totally forget that I had set them in the first place (oops). This year, I want things to be different. This is why I thought that, after each quarter, I would do a little quarterly goal update. This idea helps me remain proactive and ensures that I actually set a strategy towards reaching my goals.

If you haven’t read the last quarterly update, make sure to check it out here as well! So here’s how I’ve done with my goals for 2017 in the second quarter (April to June).  View Post

One of the things I’ve been asked to do more often on the blog is open up about my personal life. I’ve always felt like my personal life wasn’t that interesting, but I guess you guys are just as nosy as I am! (lol) However, in the last couple of months, my life has been pretty busy. So busy that I barely had time to invest in the blog. So I thought I would start a new series called Life lately where I would share life updates every once in a while with you! Hopefully, that will help you have a better idea of what is going in my life at the moment. So here’s what’s been happening in my life lately:

The transition from high school to college seems to be this big thing high schoolers are afraid of. And with reasons! A lot of people leave their home to go to the college they want, which means they’re not only living their family and friends behind, but they’re also leaving their comfort zone. I get it, it’s scary. And trust me, I’ve been there.

How did the transition from high school to college change me? Click through to find out.

One of my readers asked me to develop more on how my transition from high school to college changed me in this reader survey and I thought it was a great idea. I’ve changed a lot since high school. I am not the same girl I used to be. And it’s for the best! The transition from high school to college doesn’t have to be scary.  View Post

I’ve been recently at loss with the type of content I wanted to write for the blog. As a college blogger, I always find summer to be the hardest time when it comes to creating content. I feel like we’re all so done with school and just don’t want to read anything that’s related to it. So I brought back this reader survey and asked around me in the hope that I would find ideas that resonate with me.

Surprisingly, a lot of you requested more personal posts, such as life updates and behind the scenes stuff. I have to admit that my life is not all that interesting, but I do know that I don’t open up often enough to my readers, and that’s something that I’ve been trying to change. A friend of mine suggested that I share a typical day in my life and I loved the idea! I think it can also serve as a life update since, as you may or may not know, I’ve been on an internship for the last 4 months (and still 3 months to go!). Being a marketing intern is basically the only interesting thing I’ve been doing lately. So here’s what a day in the life of a marketing intern is like!

Another year comes to an end, and another one is beginning. 2016 was honestly one of the best years I’ve had so far. It had its ups and downs (such as having a summer semester), but overall it’s been really good to me. I’ve moved my blog to self-hosted, rebranded, and have grown all of my social media platforms. I have landed an internship that I’m really excited about, received the mention of honor for my amazing grades, and have taken some decisions that will make 2017 my best year ever.

I’m really excited for the new year. I have amazing projects in the works that I cannot wait to share with you guys. It’s also going to be a defining and life-changing year for me, I can already tell. I will have to face quite a few challenges, but I think I’m ready for it.

New year, new challenges! Click through to read what my goals for 2017 are!

Every year, I like to write down my goals for the year ahead. And note how I said goals, not resolutions. Resolutions are intentions. Goals are “the result or achievement toward which effort is directed”. Notice the difference? Setting goals allows you to be in the achieving mindset from the get-go. You know exactly what you want and where you want to be, so you can start taking the steps towards reaching them from the very beginning. And you won’t feel like quitting after a few weeks. #justsaying  View Post
