As much as I love being home after spending three months abroad, there are things that I hadn’t missed after being on my own in a completely different country. And one of those things is how people are trying to control my life and make decisions for me.

Since I’ve been home, I’ve had people make comments on my lifestyle and appearance, criticize the decisions that I make and have been asked so many questions about how things are going (but not in a “what’s up, let’s catch up” way), as if they are trying to control what I’ve been doing and how I’m doing it.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my parents and family and am SO thankful for everything they have done for me, but there is a point in the life of a young adult where you just want to be set free and do your own thing without having people make decisions for you or questioning how you live your life.

So after a month of people nagging me and being all up in my business, I’ve realized that it was time to set my foot down and make my voice heard.  View Post

Wow! What a month it has been! December was probably one of the most eventful months I’ve had so far, so I thought a little life update would be a good idea before I embark on a new journey (aka starting an internship and moving to the south shore of Montreal again).

Happy New Year, y’all! I know it sounds cliché… but I can’t believe we’re already in 2018. What a year it has been! I moved to the Montreal south shore for an 8-month internship, I studied abroad in England and traveled around the UK, I saw a Cirque du Soleil show in Trois-Rivières, I attended a summer wedding, I dyed my hair, I made new friends, I boarded a plane for the first time in my life, I made the Dean’s list for the second time in my college years… and I’m probably forgetting some things.

It has honestly been such an eventful year in all aspects of my life. I discovered more about myself than I ever thought I would, and I think I have a better understanding of who I am as a person and I’m starting to accept it. I’ve fought with myself for years because I wasn’t satisfied with who I was and the way I looked, but that’s a story for another post. 😉

But 2018 will be just as eventful, if not even more. I have so many things in stores, including on the blog, so I thought I would give you a little heads up as to what is coming up for me and for A Wanderer’s Adventures in 2018. But before we head into that, it’s time to revisit my 2017 goalsView Post

Okay, so I think we can officially call these posts monthly life updates because I always seem to resort to them at the beginning of a new month. I feel like so much happens in a month, and as this is basically the only platform where I share the ins and outs of my life, it’s probably the best place to stay up to date with what is going on with me. Remember when I said November was going to be a pretty eventful month? Well, I was both wrong and right. I traveled less than I normally do, but other things took its place, so I guess it evens out.

If you haven’t read the last update or need to refresh your memory a little, you can do so right here.
