I’ve always been known to be quite the bookworm. Ever since I’ve learned how to read, I’ve had a book by my side. I recently talked about my favorite books of 2016, and when I mentioned that I had read 75 books during the year, people seemed to be surprised. Someone on Twitter asked me how I managed to read so many books, since I also happen to be a college student, have a part-time job, and blog. I know it’s also a lot of people’s goal to read more books during the year.
Before we dive into it, there’s something I have to admit: I am a fast reader. I always have been. I can read a book in one sitting, and that usually only takes me a few hours (depending on the book). I read mostly in English, even if it’s not my mother tongue. And yes, I still read just as fast in English as I do in French, my native language. So needless to say that being a fast reader plays a big part when it comes to fitting books into my schedule. But I still have few tips that might be able to help you reaching your reading goals! View Post
Who else is excited to finally be on winter break? *raises hand* This semester might not have been as hard as my summer one, but I’m still eager to be on winter break. I only have a couple more days to go through before I get there, though, but trust me I’m counting them down! (If you’re already on winter break, you are SO lucky and I envy you so much right now)
But while I love being on break from college, one of the things I struggle with most is staying busy. It’s so tempting to just lay around and do nothing all day for three weeks straight, but trust me, you’re not doing yourself any favor! It’s important to unwind and take some time to relax, but you also have to remain at least a little bit busy so it’s not too hard to go back to your regular routine when the new semester starts! That’s why I gathered some ideas of things to do during the holiday break to remain just busy enough!
December is both my favorite month of the year and the one I dread the most. Why? Well, of course, I love December because that means Christmas is coming (WINTER BREAK!!), but it also means that I have to take finals, which is pretty scary. While you need to be studying for finals, everyone else is posting cute pictures of their Christmas tree on Instagram. I don’t know about you, but during finals week, I can’t even THINK about anything Christmas-related. I mean, do I really have time for that? Well, there are a few ways you can still get in the holiday spirit during finals!
Being a twentysomething is hard. I don’t know about you, but I find adulting to be really hard. I mean, I’m suddenly supposed to know how to pay taxes and get a real job? Whaaat?
But, while being twenty is certainly difficult, it is possible to get through it, and to have an amazing experience! Your twenties are some of the most defining years in your life, so why not make the best out of it?
Since my last blog round-up did pretty well, I decided to do something similar with another topic. There are bloggers who are dedicated to helping you surviving your twenties, so today I gathered my favorite blogs for twentysomething women! Let’s make the best out of our twenties! View Post
I don’t know about you, but Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I simply love the festive ambiance and the thrill that comes before the 25th of December. As a child, Christmas used to be a big deal back at home. My parents decorated the house, we baked cookies, we decorated the tree, and I simply had a blast preparing for Christmas. Nowadays, things are calmer. We still decorate, but the ambiance is simply not the same. Now everyone is under stress because we need to buy the perfect gift for one another, I have to undergo finals, and it tends to get pretty busy at work. I have to find other ways to get into the Christmas spirit. One of my favorite ways to do is by watching Christmas movies! So today I lined up my 25 favorite Christmas movies that will put you in the Christmas mood, no doubt!
