Blogging is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I mean, not only did it help me get more organized, but it also allows me to be more creative and improve my writing. But the most amazing part it is that I made friends with people from all over the world.
It’s no secret that I’m a very shy person. I don’t make friends easily and it’s hard for me to come out of my comfort zone.
Blogging could be a very lonely activity. I mean, you’re sitting behind your computer, writing posts. But it’s so much more than that. Despite what people might think, blogging is actually all about networking. You have to get yourself (and your blog) out there if you want to get your blog seen and read. It can be very hard at first, but for me, networking is one of the best parts of blogging! Not only because it increases my traffic, but also because I get to meet new people all the time and develop new friendships.
It took me a while to figure how crucial networking is. It can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, which is why today I’m giving you my advice on how to network with other bloggers! View Post
I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I like better than getting lost in a good book. But during the semester, I don’t have much time to do so. Between classes, studying and work, that doesn’t leave much time for reading.
But with summer right at our doors, we finally have more time to read! That’s why I decided to team up with a bunch of bloggers to share what our favorite summer reads are! I personally prefer reading contemporaries and NA during the summer as they are usually lighter reads, so this is what you’ll mostly find in this list. I made a list of my favorite books of the summer last year, if you’re looking for other recommendations! I tried to choose books that were different from the ones I shared last year. View Post
We hear for years growing up that college will be the best four years of our lives. We watch movies that glamorize Greek life, partying, drinking, and make us think college is all fun. People barely even study in those movies, so how hard can it be? By the time we’re seniors in high school, the questions never stop coming: Where are you going? What are you majoring in? Where is that? Where did you apply? Are you excited? And of course the declarative statement: These will be the best years of your life. No doubt college is fun, there’s freedom that you don’t get in high school and a sense of adventure at every turn. The first time I realized I could go out to a movie at midnight and no one would tell me no or set a curfew turned into a wild night.
Then there’s what people don’t tell you. I just finished my first year in college, and now that finals are behind me I have some time to be able to sit down and reflect and, for the first time in months, simply do nothing. View Post
I’ve seen so many playlists posts in the blogosphere lately, it made me want to write my own post! It’s been a while since I shared a playlist post, and I’ve been listening to some amazing tunes lately, so I thought I could share my current playlist with you!
I don’t know about you, but with the beautiful, warm weather and the promise of summer arriving soon, I cannot help but have that reflect in what I listen to. Therefore, the music that’s been playing on my iPod lately is more upbeat and fun. Definitely something you could dance to! I tend to listen to more pop songs in the summer
(even though I basically listen to pop all year long), so be warned! View Post
As I mentioned, my blogiversary was pretty recently. But, there’s something I have to admit: I’m not really sure when my blogiversary is. Sure, I know the date I created my blog (and WordPress likes to remind me), but I don’t know if I should count it from the moment I created my blog.
Let me explain.
My first post went live more than a month after I created my blog (June 2nd). Then, radio silence. I started taking blogging seriously only in August – three months after I created my blog!
So, where should I start counting? Back in April when I created my blog? In June when my first post was posted? Or in August when I finally took blogging seriously?
Anyways, as it happens, this blog post happens to celebrate not only one but two milestones! Not only is it posted a year after my first post went live, but it’s also my 50th blog post!
To celebrate, I decided to share my ten best blog posts. If you’re new here (hello!), it might direct you to some interesting resources; and if you’ve been here for a while, it might make you rediscover some old posts of mine!
